[That's okay... If there was a sociopath, Jason would immediately shoot them himself too, so maybe this is the single instance of where Jason and swords converge together in the bloodlust.
Wish Jason would stop being petty about the swords when he is just as bad.]
Memories? [OH N] They've screwed around with more than just tossing you outside and letting someone hunt you down?
Oh, no. I think I would actually prefer if that was the case?
Basically, every Thursday evening someone would be killed-- the reasoning seems to differ from place to place. At the village, it was possession. At the camp, certain people were tasked with it. Friday we would find the body, and then on Saturday we'd have a trial. And then throughout the weeks there may be odd things that occur that would mess with you.
Lucky you. [He does not say this like he thinks Tsuru is actually lucky.] Even less of a fan of possession than I am people having their arms twisted to hunt us like animals.
[After this, though, he will probably prefer the hunt style maybe. Who knows.]
We just got tossed into the jungle every night, hoping it wasn't our turn to get hunted by two people and some dogs. If you didn't show up for breakfast in the morning, you were probably dead, and we'd dig around for your body as a lunchtime adventure. Then we'd have dinner and a show later where we pointed fingers at each other and prayed we picked the right person.
Then, you know, someone would be picked to kill them over the dinner table before we got sent back out again.
One of the important parts of the start is to try to get information, since it's easy to assume that the final conditions will just be the same as before. It would be bad if someone just started slaughtering everyone because they thought it was needed, and then it turns out it's actually the opposite.
I hope you don't take this the wrong way, [this is code for he is going to definitely say some stupid white guy shit] but you looked like a dumbass, so I guess I didn't give you enough credit.
[This is mostly a joke and not entirely true. He's enough of a Bat to understand the stupidest acting people are the ones you definitely need to watch out for.]
Despite the fact you really ran around the island finding ways to get rid of people. I'm pretty sure Royce gave you a gun, too. [He doesn't disagree with what Tsuru says, though.] Sure. "Remember guys, no one kill anyone even though we have hostages!"
I get it. But I don't trust people to not do what they want.
I don't expect you to trust anyone-- especially not me! [ he understands... he gets it... even if it's a different him, at the end of the day it was still him, just with a different set of experiences that lead him down a different path. ] But at least, at this point, I have no plans on murdering everyone.
I can't promise you that I won't kill here, but that is something that no one can promise. Anyone who says otherwise is lying.
[His expression truly looks like "I--" because. Well, because:]
Look, I know your game, or other people's games were probably different. I've heard a few stories. But in my game, we didn't exactly have time to twiddle our thumbs and do "cool" things. We were busy dying and figuring out who did it.
[Which is his way of saying he is not used to this shit.]
[He opens his mouth, but then he shuts it. There isn't any way he'll be able to explain this reference to this sword right now and have it make sense.]
Nevermind. If they give us any movies later, I'll show you.

... I guess that is not really a lot of time to make lasting friendships despite the turbulent times.
[ since it does not sound like they got to have neat parties. ]
How long were you there for?

[He made friends, but he refuses to admit this.]
A week or so.

[ he doesn't sound like he actually believes that though. ]

Not sure if you want to speedrun the murder and mayhem only to find out you are all dead to begin with, and your souls are being judged.

[He flicks a hand.]
Don't take it personal if I keep my eye on you and Mikazuki. I just don't have a great history with swords.

I’m not here to hang out.

We can still hang out.

You're trying to get on my good side now.

They're probably more than likely to take it away from us than give it to us. We're not very entertaining if we're too busy watching movies.
