I do think it is more likely than not someone from camp is not responsible. It's by no means proven, but...if the motivation will be threats to our hostages, people will tend to pick strangers. And even for a less sentimental person, there's no getting around the fact that having a large number of people from a previous experience is a strategic advantage.
