the pace he sets isn't so rigorous that they can't chat, though. ]
[ dimitri thinks that tsurumaru is valid! dimitri's sympathy for killers is something that only tentatively took root in crau1, and his feelings are still complicated at best. sometimes people murder or nearly midtrial the ones you care for and you feel things about it. ]
It does make things far trickier... I assumed that most people weren't going to kill right away without learning more about the apparent hostage situation.
