Well, the thing about the camp is that there was a whole group of people actively covering for each other. While at the village, we needed to make sure everyone who killed got caught no matter what.

I don't think they were allowed to outright tell anyone, but I suppose if you were also killing others then it would be easy to guess, or if you were close enough to the person?
It's hard to say... especially since not everyone is completely convinced the hostage situation is true. Or at least, not convinced that there isn't another way to save them.
So in that case, there's probably some sort of backup?
I think there is a possibility. However... I am not willing to take the risk, since it's far more likely that it is true. We already know that we can be easily kidnapped, so why couldn't there be hostages?
