No idea. Even if they didn't get brought back to the trial, and if he managed to hurt Mikazuki... where would he go?

At most, he could have wasted enough time that maybe he didn't get the majority vote, but he'd still be stuck here with us.

I don't know. With Mikazuki tied to Diluc, too, even if he'd landed the hit-- that might have been enough to get people to guess something went wrong in there. There was no way out for him.

Well... people can be driven to panic, when they are trapped in a corner. It could be as simple as he wasn't thinking.

Or he could have been manipulated in some way, but that one we can't really say.

What were executions like for you?

... Different method every week. Themed with whatever world we were tied to. [ guillotine flashbacks. he shakes his head ] One person was picked at random to go through with finishing it.

Back at the camp, someone was randomly chosen as well. But the other thing that was randomized was the weapons used. It would range from something deadly to... pens...

We didn't have fights. Just one guy had to pull the metaphorical trigger. [ and sometimes. real. trigger. taako. ] Wonder what all the other ones were like.
