Well, when I died a rock was involved, and then in the execution they had to... I believe rocks were involved somehow? Anyway, it was a sensitive topic but then the rocks ended up in the camp's gift shop. And this one man named Guy bought the rocks and set up a strange display with them that people hated.

He got voted for the following trial.

That group was extremely bad at catching killers. Just... very talentless...

But it might be better this time.

... we'll see. The trials at the camp were very different than the ones at the village, so we'll see what happens.

Well, the thing about the camp is that there was a whole group of people actively covering for each other. While at the village, we needed to make sure everyone who killed got caught no matter what.

... Why were they covering for each other?

[ people needing to get caught is a lot more normal, honestly. cloud says this directly responsible for someone else biting it for ange. but it was emet so it's fine. ]

They just did not want to get caught. There were a few different groups of two that were tasked to kill, and eventually they all found each other.

Why'd they have to kill? Win condition?

Yeah... the issue was that no one else really knew of the condition for a long time, so if they did, I'm sure others would have helped.

Probably. [ thinks of how okay with death everyone was by the end of redacted. it's fine. ] But I guess they didn't think people would understand?

I don't think they were allowed to outright tell anyone, but I suppose if you were also killing others then it would be easy to guess, or if you were close enough to the person?

And the more people knew, the less they hunted them, I guess. [ hmm. ] Think this place will have a similar thing?

It's hard to say... especially since not everyone is completely convinced the hostage situation is true. Or at least, not convinced that there isn't another way to save them.

So in that case, there's probably some sort of backup?

Maybe. [ ... ] You one of those who thinks it isn't true? The hostages.

I think there is a possibility. However... I am not willing to take the risk, since it's far more likely that it is true. We already know that we can be easily kidnapped, so why couldn't there be hostages?

[ unless this is a very bad practical joke ]

But I am open to the idea of trying to get them out somehow.

I'm not willing to risk her on a chance like that. But she'd get mad if I didn't at least try to find another way, too.
