[The vines on one wrist retreat back into his skin. The other pours over his hand, braiding together through the palm to hold and dangling at the ends like a nine-tailed whip. One of the thorny tips lift to beckon Tsuru like a finger.]
[ he claps, and then readjusts his hold on the sword before running forward again. this time he's making sure to keep a close watch on the vines.
he's fast, and this time he's aiming for one of the wrists. more specifically, the vines growing out of them, but honestly he won't complain if he actually cuts hisoka. ]
[Tsuru takes off, and the vines drop Hisoka to his feet. He really likes the whip, so he brings the vines around from his back to try to swat at Tsuru as a distraction.]
You're pretty good. I'm starting to get excited. It reminds me of my fight with your friend. It's so disappointing getting worked up and not being able to finish.
Mm. Yes, I think I'm going to finish with you for sure. You might be screaming by the end.
[The vines don't try to dodge away from the sword; they're severed pretty easily. But he throws back his arm and cracks the split whip of vines at Tsuru's dominant arm, seeing if he can ensnare it.]
but before he can offer a verbal response, the whip moves. tsuru tries to dodge it, although he can't really move fast enough and it manages to get his wrist.
he scowls, before tossing his sword to his other hand so he can try to cut at the vines anyway. ]
Tsuru really messed up. Hisoka's eyes go a little glassy, and the lids fall halfway over his eyes.] That's the look I've been waiting for. You're really going to turn me on. [His pull is rough when he yanks the whip, trying to get Tsuru off balance before the cut and
tsurumaru's confusion is obvious, and he tips forward as he cuts the vine off of his wrist. he really doesn't think too much about getting yanked forward, instead switching the hands his sword is in so he can properly try to swipe at him.
it's not as graceful as he'd like, since his footing isn't steady or anything, but he's mostly just aiming to try to get hisoka to move back instead of actually hitting him. ]
[Fortunately, even the whip is easy to cut away. Unfortunately, Hisoka doesn't move back with the swipe. He takes it, unbothered.
But the sword finds a solid hit rather than soft flesh. From the point of contact outward, his skin begins to harden all over. He curls a hand over the blade, not to break it to bend it back, but to keep Tsuru in place.]
Oh no... Now I'm hard. We'll really have to finish.
[And then he tries to sock Tsuru in the stomach with the other hand.]
[ this would be less of a problem if tsurumaru was the type to just abandon his sword
unfortunately, he's not. he just grimaces as he tries to get it out of hisoka's grip, although he tries to move out of the way of hisoka's punch. it... doesn't quite work, considering he doesn't want to lose the sword which means he can't just retreat, so he's still getting hit in the stomach. ]
Ah... nice trick...
[ he somehow sounds both entertained and annoyed at the same time. ]
[He arm he used to punch slides around Tsuru's shoulder from the front, and he lets the sword go. He doesn't seem to be any heavier, but his flesh has become pretty hard, rocky without being too extraordinarily jagged.]
I'm still a little angry at being killed. [This is said right by Tsuru's ear.] I had a good way to prevent it from most of the others. There was a lot I had to do, but I guess they don't mind playing with gambits.
One person who could have helped them down, one to go. ♠
[ it's a reflex, really, that makes him try to stab hisoka in the leg despite the ability. he doesn't even realize that he attempted it until his swords hit the rock and his frown deepens. ]
He glances down slowly between them to the sword which sort of just... kind of clanks off his leg.] Ah. [Tsuru is so rude. Hisoka isn't even feeling anything up.
This time when he punches Tsuru, he does so with enough force and swing of the hips to send Tsuru at least skidding back. He straightens and cocks his head swiftly to each side to crack his neck.]
Ah. We should get started then. It shouldn't be rushed.
[Like with Kara, he spends a good chunk of the initial offense dodging. He keeps the plant sword folded behind his back for now. It's a little fun ot make Tsuru work for it. Have to keep the sword in shape.
They won't get anywhere if there's not enough stamina or flexibility.]
[Surprised (but thrilled?? bad), Hisoka pauses to just........ allow this to happen. He's curious? That doesn't mean his guard is down, not at all. Tsuru isn't the only one who enjoys surprises.
but tsuru is going to kick at the back of hisoka's knees. which may seem stupid, because of the whole hardened body thing, except he backs the kick up with a very strong gust of air that will hopefully help topple hisoka over. ]
At first, he takes the brunt of the hit; Rock Solid helps keep him stable. But the push of wind is new (and exciting), and his leg gives way and slides off ahead of him without consent. Ah.
It's fun because he's an acrobat at heart. He doesn't resist; lets his leg go flying up in the air while the rest of his body goes down. He twists so Tsuru isn't in his blind spot, one hand dropping toward the ground to push off.

but he unfortunately appreciates hisoka's quick thinking, and when he kicks tsuru will go to sidestep it, once again trying to cut the vines that he summoned. ]
As long as we keep having fun like this, I'll always be hard.
[His legs whizz by Tsuru, and he twists his arm enough to let Tsuru cut the vines without cutting off his hand. He's released, and he goes flying several feet off to land in a skid on his feet.]
